Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Indian Valley Middle School! At IVMS we strive to create a safe and exciting learning community of enthusiastic, compassionate and tolerant adolescents. We hope that the time your child has with us will be filled with many positive learning experiences, including time for academic and social growth.

At IVMS learning is a collaborative effort among students, teachers, staff, administrators, parents, and the Indian Valley community. Our teachers are facilitators of learning in an environment where students are expected to be responsible for their learning and behavior. We believe that all students can learn, and our goal is to provide our students with a challenging and rigorous curriculum while meeting all of our student’s needs. Participation in extra-curricular activities is an integral component of the total school curriculum. Students can participate in athletics, music, and other clubs that will enhance their self-esteem, expand socialization skills, and build teamwork and character.

In closing, I encourage all of you to take stock of your children. Preserve this exciting time in their lives by taking a few extra photos when they least expect it, and marvel at how your child is growing and evolving into a young adult. IVMS will continue to be a school where students come ready to learn and our teachers, staff, and administrators will remain dedicated to your child’s education.
